Sega 32X ROMs/Sega 32X Games ISOs

Project Mars, more popularly known as the Sega 32X was the second of the two major hardware add-ons manufactured by Sega in late 1994, to complement the Sega Genesis video game console by doubling up its computing power and graphics.  The add-on was launched under the name Super 32X in Japan, Genesis 32X in North America, Mega Drive 32X in the PAL region, and Mega 32X in Brazil.

The 32X was poised to extend Sega Genesis’ lifespan by giving it a significantly more powerful 32-bit processing, from its previous 16-bits and likewise an upgrade from the hitherto 2D capabilities to texture-mapped 3D polygon capabilities, all at a low cost. This upgrade from Sega 32X was set to give the Genesis console’s main rival, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System a run for its money.

Due to a rushed launch, poor market timing (i.e. simultaneous marketing with the Sega’s Saturn) and a meagre game library also due to the console’s inability to attract third-party video game developers, the Sega 32X did not do so well in the game console market and as such was discontinued barely two years later, by 1996 as Sega turned its focus to the Saturn. Though there were roughly just about 40 game titles released on the Sega 32X platform, there is still that nostalgic feeling of wanting to play these games, and for the fact that video gaming has advanced passed this console, it may seem difficult to readily get the Sega 32X games. Luckily though, all of the 32X game cartridges have been converted into Sega 32X ISOs (also referred to as Sega 32X ROMs). The Ready Only Memory, basically, is a file that houses a copy of your games ripped from the original game disk or online download. The great thing about these Sega 32X ROMs download is that they are available on a ton of sites you can find in you browsers to easily download and play on your PC, Tablet or Smartphone.
